Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, in Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian music producer and a vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. She has recorded several high-profile songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which have been widely praised. Katy Perry's praise for the song Runaway in a blog post gave the artist some additional acknowledgement. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memory involves finding a small piano in her basement, and bewildered by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to pursue music solely for pleasure or as a means of growing, but that she should explore it. The Aksnes family advised her to compose. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as a love for Bjork's style. When her mother said that her songs can not only aid in her efforts to achieve fame but also make others see their significance in the world and realize the possibilities for them She decided to start performing publicly. Piano was her first instrument at the age of six, and she started writing music when she turned nine. Family members didn't even be aware of this until she was 14. Aurora had no idea of being famous.
